GenIbet state-of the art facility is located in Portugal, 20 Km West from Lisbon airport.The 1000 square meters of GMP upstream and downstream manufacturing facilities (including QC labs and R&D facilities) were built to satisfy the stringent demands of the biotechnology industry and include four production units:• A Bacterial Unit (BL2 fermentation room),• A Viral Unit for gene therapies and vaccines (BL2 bioreaction and downstream rooms),• An Animal Cell Culture Unit, (BL2 room)• A Fill and Finish Unit for small scale semi-automatic aseptic filling.In 2009, GenIbet was granted its first GMP certification for biopharmaceutical Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients production.
